2022 is THE year to support, vote and pass the Maryland Constitutional Amendment for Environmental Human Rights. Our climate demands it. Our bodies demand it. Our children and future generations demand it. This is an election year and THE opportunity to give the voters their say about amending the Declaration of Rights section of the state constitution.

The amendment will ensure each person’s enforceable right to a healthful environment, on par with other civil rights, and strengthen state and local government’s ability to protect Maryland’s natural resources for current and future generations. It will also close the gaps in environmental laws, acting as a true guardrail to preven the most egregious forms of harm and provide environmenta justice in our state.
