MDEHR Book Club – January 4 at 7pm
You are invited! Starting in January, on the first Wednesday of each month throughout the 2023 session, Nina Beth Cardin will be discussing her favorite chapters from books about environmental health and the need for environmental rights. It’s an opportunity to gather with fellow advocates, get to know each other better, and broaden our learning and perspectives about environmental rights.
Our first selection is from a book by Joseph L. Sax, Defending the Environment: A Strategy for Citizen Action. The selected chapter is “Public Trust – a New Charter of Environmental Rights.” Joseph Sax provides his perspective on why all of us possess a public right in the air, water and land held in common and how we can protect it. You can read the chapter here or access the full book here.
Join us! RSVP here.
